Slater needed a bedside table for his sports-themed bedroom. So homeplate seemed like it would do fine.
Simple enough:
1. Cut out the shape from a piece of melamine* from Slater's old bed frame that we just got rid of.
*Melamine is typically used for shelves. It's particle board with a hard plastic-like surface--perfect for a kid's tabletop.
2. Grab a piece of old trim that was lying around & paint it "Yankees Blue" (that we still had).
3. Cut it to trim out the tabletop & air nail it in place.
4. Buy three legs at Lowes for around $5 each---paint & attach.
cost = $15 for legs |
