Cleo is a retired racing greyhound we adopted from Greyt Rescues March 17, 2005. (The people at Greyt Rescues are very nice & helpful to work with.) Her racing name was Hoosier Casper.
She has an incredibly sweet personality and adapted to our home in 1 day---no kidding!
One may expect that a dog that has been bred for thousands of years to run would be a hyper ball of energy. Not so...
These dogs are laid bag and easy going. Some people call them "40 mph couch potatoes."
There are tons of Greyhound adoption websites out there, so there's plenty of free online info about these dogs if you want to know more about them.
I got accidentally hooked on the breed by simply being around some. Even a "non-dog" guy such as I have taken to these cool characters.
