Oh yes, this Hoosierism really exists!! We ridiculed Dan Quale (rightly so) for not knowing how to spell potato, but some of our Hoosier brethren cannot seem to even pronounce it correctly.
You can almost see a Hoosier in the final round of Wheel of Fortune, the puzzle looking like:

The person standing there behind the wheel with a grin from ear to ear, knowing the Gucci gift certificate is a lock; then they proclaim, chest swollen with pride, "Yes, is there a 'B', Pat!?"
"Oooooo. (Sajak trying his best to suppress the laughter welling up inside him) There is no "B." (Screams can be heard spilling out from the control room as the tech crew falls onto the tiled floor crying with laughter.) And Vanna's face seems to say, "What?... What's so funny? Did I miss something?"
