It's a great little ride. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have stolen Sandra away from work & put her on the back...

      the Adam's Mill run

A great relaxing time is to ride country roads from the edge of town (Kokomo) out to Burlington & then further west to Adams's Mill. Great curvy, quiet roads, a few bridges, some views of Wildcat Creek--a good time indeed! It's about 30 miles from my house to the mill & if I'm being pokey enough, stopping to look around, taking pics etc., the round trip can take 1 1/2 -2 hours.
bridge over Wildcat Creek just before Burlington --intersection of 00NS & 1150 W
I just shut off the bike...listened to the water, the birds...prayed, reflected, appreciated everything there is in life...and just felt fortunate to be there...
Adam's Mill is in the village of Bolivar apparently...
Here is the Mill--- seems to be major renovation going on--- I assume due to the July 4th 2003 flood...
I walked down the path in this shot and took the next two pictures.
Wildcat Creek forms an "ox bow" around the Mill --- that's why the Mill is there, so the water can flow into and out of the mill.
<< an example of an ox bow--the mill lies between the two closest points of the creek
This shot is in front of the mill. Just up this road lies the covered bridge you'll see in the next pics...
My latest epiphany:
Indiana looks so much cooler from a bike...

what used to seem boring now feels serene...
