       young's florida vacation '04
thanks to the the Wuerfel's and Hays' for being great hosts, family & outstanding chefs!
"Just call me 'Sandy Bottoms' from now on, ok?"
below:

Morgan calls it "Carona Beach" because it reminds him of a Carona beer commercial.  It's on a little island and is less populated & more tropical--great combination! Even though it rained we still had a great time. When it's sunny the water looks really blue.

the "fixer-upper"--shabby chic NOT!

the family with Sandra's friend & co-worker, Ken.

Ken & Ken next to their "little" boat. Great guys. Great hosts. Great time.  They introduced us to an island treat: the Wharf retaurant. A great 5-star "dive."
It's not a complete Florida vacation without a bout of endentured servitude at the Hays' house. Just finishing up the shelves---luckily the pattern of the Hawaiian shirt masks that it's drenched in sweat at this point.
"Since you finished the shelves, get to work assembling this kitchen cart. Then MAYBE we'll think about letting you go for a swim!"

"Yes'um, Miss Hays..."
"Bon jour! This little lovely will soon be a grilled salad to go with a nummy rack of lamb!" (or "lack of ram" as Morgan later said.)

Karen's thoughts:

"Isn't there something else I can have Morgan build or fix while he's here?!!"

Sandra's thoughts:

"To bad Morgan's not home working on my greenhouse instead of playing with that stupid camera..."
Last stop before flying out of St. Pete:  Crazy Buffet.

It was crazy good and the kids left with some "balloon-o-gami"
Before it got a "flat tire" it was actually an impressive motorcycle balloon.  Grandma & Grandpa Wuerfel spolied us!
And of course after all that rigorous vacationing and relaxing, we were beat!
